A large Metcard ticket vending machine was located inside the waiting area, which was able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. myki ticket vending machines are located inside the waiting area on platform 1 and at the entrance to platform 2.HistoryCroydon station opened on 1 December 1882 as Warrandyte, and was renamed Croydon in 1884. The current up platform (platform 1) was provided in 1984 as part of the line duplication between Croydon and Ringwood.
